Getting Started
- Who makes your resources?
- Our resources are made by teachers with great expertise in education. They understand what works for their fellow educator and how to grab the attention of their learners. Our resource-creators make original teaching resources that are effective, tried and trusted, and ready for the classroom. Furthermore, all of our primary resources are hand-drawn.
- How do I get started?
- Sign up for free and you'll receive 3 free AI tool uses to explore the platform. No credit card required. Once you've tried our tools, you can upgrade to Premium for unlimited access to all features. Visit your account settings to select your teaching subject, year level, and curriculum to personalise your experience.
- Which curricula does ClassroomGenie support?
- We support multiple international curricula including UK National Curriculum, US Common Core, Australian Curriculum, Canadian Provincial curricula, NCEA (New Zealand), Irish National Curriculum, and International Baccalaureate. Your GenieBot assistant adapts to your specific curriculum and teaching context.
- Do I need to provide credit card information to use the Starter tier?
- No, absolutely not. Your Starter account with 3 AI tool uses requires no credit card. You can explore and test our platform risk-free. If you decide to upgrade to Premium, you'll then provide payment information.

- What AI tools are included in my subscription?
- ClassroomGenie includes multiple AI tools: AI Lesson Planner (create comprehensive lesson plans), Quiz Generator (build assessments), Content Summariser, Descriptive Language Generator, Antonym Finder, Behaviour Management Ideas, Assembly Planner, Poem Generator, and Ask GenieBot (your personalised AI assistant). We're constantly adding new tools based on educator feedback.
- What is GenieBot and how does it work?
- GenieBot is your personalised AI assistant that learns your teaching style, subject specialisation, and classroom context. You can ask GenieBot virtually anything related to your teaching, and it provides tailored responses based on your preferences. As you interact with it more, it becomes increasingly personalised to your needs.
- How does the AI Lesson Planner work?
- Simply input your subject, year level, desired duration, and learning objectives. The AI Lesson Planner generates comprehensive lesson plans including sections like Learning Objectives, Starter Activity, Main Teaching Input, Assessment Opportunities, Differentiation, and Resources. You can customise additional sections like EAL support, SEN strategies, or behaviour management tips.
- Can I edit the content generated by the AI tools?
- Yes! All AI-generated content is fully editable. You can modify, refine, or expand on any content generated. We provide a clean interface for editing and formatting your content before saving or exporting it. Many teachers use our tools as a starting point and customise them for their specific needs.
- What quality can I expect from the AI-generated content?
- Our AI is powered by cutting-edge language models and generates educationally appropriate, well-structured content. However, we recommend reviewing all generated content to ensure it aligns with your teaching goals and your students' needs. The AI works best with clear, detailed input from you.
Subscription & Billing
- What's the difference between Starter and Premium?
- Starter users get 3 AI tool uses per month with basic features. Premium users ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) get unlimited access to all AI tools, priority support, and access to advanced features like saving and organising your generated content. Annual subscriptions offer a 17% discount compared to monthly billing.
- Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?
- Yes! You can upgrade, downgrade, or switch plans anytime in your account settings. If you switch from monthly to annual, you'll be charged the prorated difference. If you switch from annual to monthly, the change takes effect at your next billing cycle.
- What happens to my content if I cancel my subscription?
- Your content remains accessible to you even after cancellation. However, you won't be able to generate new content using Premium features. You can still access and download your previously generated content, and can reactivate your subscription anytime.
- Do you offer institutional or bulk discounts?
- Yes! We offer special pricing for schools, districts, and educational institutions. Contact our sales team at hello@classroomgenie.com for custom pricing based on the number of educators and your specific institutional needs.
- Is there a money-back guarantee?
- We're confident you'll love ClassroomGenie! If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days of your Premium subscription, contact our support team for a full refund. No questions asked.
Security & Privacy
- How secure is my data?
- Security is our top priority. We use enterprise-grade security measures including end-to-end encryption, secure cloud storage with industry-standard protocols, and regular security audits. All data is stored in secure data centres with redundancy and backup systems.
- Is my student data protected?
- Yes, absolutely. We comply with all major data protection regulations including GDPR, FERPA, and other international privacy laws. Your student data is never used for training our AI models and is never shared with third parties. We maintain strict data minimisation practices.
- Will ClassroomGenie share my data or content with third parties?
- Never. Your content, student information, and personal data are never shared with third parties. We don't sell data or use your content for marketing. The only exception is with your explicit consent or when required by law. Your data stays yours.
- How long do you keep my data?
- We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete all your data within 30 days, in accordance with data protection regulations. You can request a data export anytime from your account settings.
Support & Troubleshooting
- What kind of support do you provide?
- We provide comprehensive support including: email assistance (responses within 24 hours), detailed documentation and tutorials, video guides for each AI tool, and live chat during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm GMT). Premium subscribers get priority support with faster response times.
- My AI-generated content doesn't look right. What should I do?
- Try being more specific in your input. The AI works best with clear, detailed instructions. For example, instead of 'create a lesson plan,' try 'create a 45-minute lesson plan on photosynthesis for Year 5 using discovery learning methods.' If you continue to have issues, contact our support team with an example and we'll help you troubleshoot.
- I've used all my Starter tries. What now?
- You can upgrade to Premium for unlimited access, or you can wait for your next monthly reset to get 3 more Starter uses. Premium subscription is required for continued access after your Starter uses are exhausted. You can always reach out to our team if you have questions about upgrading.
- Can I export my content?
- Yes! You can download all generated content as Word documents, PDFs, or in other formats. Content can be easily exported and imported into your preferred tools. All formatting is preserved during export.
- How do I contact support?
